Reading in Rainbow 3!
This week in Rainbow 3, we have been exploring reading in a variety of ways. We visited the library and enjoyed spending time independently reading the books we had chosen.
Our class story has been I Love Me. We listened carefully as the adults read the story and then took part in a hot seating activity. We asked the characters questions and thought carefully about their thoughts, feelings and experiences. This helped us to develop our understanding of the story and the characters within it.

Reading in Rainbow 2
This week in Rainbow 2, we have been enjoying listening to a range of stories. We used puppets to help us retell the story I Love Me, exploring the characters and key events. The puppets encouraged us to use our imagination, develop our speaking and listening skills, and build our confidence in sharing the story with others.
We have also enjoyed looking at books independently, exploring different stories and pictures, and choosing books that interest us. Throughout the week, we shared stories with our friends and talked about what we liked about them. These experiences have helped the children in Rainbow 2 to build their confidence, develop their communication skills and foster a love of reading and storytelling.

11.09.26 - Welcome Back to School!
We have had a fantastic first full week back! The children have settled well into their routines and new rooms, showing confidence and enthusiasm as they begin the new term. Throughout the week, we have spent time exploring the different resources available, building and strengthening friendships, and developing positive relationships with adults. We have also been revisiting familiar skills and learning experiences, helping the children feel settled and secure in their environment. It has been wonderful to see their excitement and curiosity as they reconnect with their friends and explore their new surroundings.
